Gwilym is co-founder of Henderson & Jones and an accountant with over 10 years’ experience in insolvency, restructuring and audit. Gwilym sits on our investment committee and provides forensic accounting expertise on disputes.
Gwilym started his career in Audit at Deloitte in 2006 where on qualifying he joined the Restructuring Services team in London. He then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2014 before co-founding Henderson & Jones with Philip Henderson in 2016.
Gwilym is a chartered accountant with the ICAEW and a full member of R3 and Insol International. He has a Masters in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
Philip is co-founder of Henderson & Jones and an experienced commercial litigator, specialising in complex financial services and insolvency disputes. Philip is General Counsel of Henderson & Jones and sits on our investment committee.
Prior to co-founding Henderson & Jones in 2016, Philip spent 11 years in private practice as a commercial litigator at Freshfields, Eversheds and Shakespeare Martineau.
Philip is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales with Higher Rights of Audience. He has a law degree from the University of Newcastle.
Ron is Chairman of the Board of Henderson & Jones and sits on our investment committee.
Ron has over 30 years’ experience in the insolvency industry as an insolvency practitioner and is a former president of R3.
He was national head of insolvency at Kidsons and is a member of the firm’s national council. He was one of the founding partners of Begbies Traynor’s corporate recovery practice.
Piers is a commercial litigator with over 10 years’ experience of complex and high-profile disputes. Piers has a broad commercial practice with particular expertise in advising on financial services and insolvency disputes.
Piers joined Henderson & Jones in September 2019 from Freshfields where Piers spent seven years as a senior associate in the dispute resolution team. During his time at Freshfields, Piers spent six months on secondment to the Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement team at HSBC. Prior to joining Freshfields, Piers spent five years at Mayer Brown.
Piers is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. He has a law degree from the University of Birmingham.
Sophie is a commercial litigator with extensive experience in handling complex commercial litigation matters, ranging from insolvency, professional negligence, shareholder, restrictive covenant and product liability disputes.
Sophie joined Henderson & Jones in June 2019, having previously spent 19 years in private practice with Shakespeare Martineau and DAC Beachcroft advising a broad range of clients ranging from SMEs to blue chip international businesses.
Sophie is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. She has a law degree from the University of Wolverhampton. Sophie is also the Chair of the Dispute Resolution Committee for the Birmingham Law Society.
Scott is an experienced commercial litigator, specialising in complex construction disputes as well as a broader range of commercial and insolvency matters.
Scott joined Henderson & Jones in 2018, having previously completed his training contract with Gowling before qualifying into Gowling's Contentious Construction team. During his time with Gowling, Scott was involved in a number of complex and high-value disputes (both domestic and with an international element), across a range of construction projects; from large-scale infrastructure works to renovations of domestic and commercial properties.
Scott is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. He has a law degree from the University of Sheffield.
Dalila is an Italian qualified lawyer specialising in insolvency and general commercial litigation.
Dalila joined Henderson & Jones in 2017, having previously worked in private practice in Italy. Dalila qualified in 2013; passing the Italian Avvocato Exam (although she is not currently enrolled in Italy). When working in private practice in Italy, her main focus was commercial and civil litigation. A skilled advocate, Dalila appeared before the Italian Courts on a regular basis.
Dalila has a law degree from the Università di Bergamo and a Graduate Diploma in Law from Oxford Brookes University.
Lauren is an experienced commercial litigator, specialising in complex financial disputes as well as a broader range of commercial and insolvency litigation matters.
Lauren joined Henderson & Jones in January 2021, having previously completed her training contract with Eversheds Sutherland and qualifying into Eversheds Sutherland's Financial Services, Disputes and Investigations team. During her time with Eversheds Sutherland, Lauren was involved in high value multijurisdictional disputes and investigations and spent six months on secondment to the Commercial Legal team at Barclays.
Lauren is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. She has a law degree from the University of Liverpool.
Eleanor joined Henderson & Jones in 2020.
She is currently studying for her Graduate Diploma in Law having completed a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
